Comparison of metallic and ceramic supports for non-stationary operated monolithic catalytic reactors
Original language description
Experimental results obtained on a monolithic catalytic reactor for detoxification of exhaust from diesel engines under non-stationary inlet conditions (switching between the reaction mixture and cooling air) which support the formation of acceptable temperature profile along the monolith are presented. The influence of inlet temperature and of the cooling air flow-rate on the outlet conversion of NOx is discussed and it is demonstrated that higher NOx conversions can be reached in non-stationary operation.
