Dynamics of excitable reactions in branched arrays of mass couppled reaction cells
Original language description
Using methods of numerical continuation and bifurcation analysis we study dynamical transitions and bifurcation structures in a model reactor system arranged as a cascade of several reaction cells with branched topology wherein an excitable reaction takes place. The waves of excitations are initiated by periodically forcing marginal cell(s) and allowed to spread through the array. Due to the branched topology of the array, the waves can meet and interact. Upon interaction, the waves may annihilate or dominate one another, causing a selective spread of a particular wave through the array.
