Experimental study on mass transfer mechanism in gas - liquid dispersions.
Original language description
This study relates to the mass transfer characteristics and the bubble size measurement. The effect of power consumption, gas flow rate, gas concentration and liquid viscosity are investigated for a non-coalescent batch. Chemical method of mass transferrate measurement used provides simultaneous determination of the mass transfer coefficient and the interfacial area. The bubble size is estimated using Sauter mean diameter as a ratio of gas hold-up and interfacial area. The power consumption in thebatchis measured independently on the impeller shaft
