    The study relates to the mixing efficiency defined as the product of the mixing time in a non standard vessel with an axial multi-impeller system. The effects of the rotation speed, gas flow rate, solid particles and type of liquid were investigated. Themixing time was determined from dimensionless concentration of a tracer measured by conductivity probe located near the vessel bottom. Liquid flow in the vessel was interpreted by the cell model and by the axial dispersion model. The mixing mechanisms were found strongly dependent on the presents of gas bubbles and solid particles.
