The Application of the Solution for Non-Linear Equation Systems
Original language description
The mathematical formulation of some problems in the real world (e.g. computation of the working point for chemical reactors) leads to the generation of non-linear equation systems. The solution of such equation systems could be rather complicated. In past times, where there was no possibility to solve given problem by the means of computer technologies, the methods, which tried the given problem either simplified or passed over, were created. At present there is possible to use for the solution of suchnon-linear equation systems mathematical oriented software, e.g. MATLAB. The paper deals with the comparison of methods congruent for the computation of the working points for the through-flow stirred chemical reactor. The graphical solution is presented first. Then there are two methods using the algorithms form Matlab Programming Guidebook for Numerical Methods. Finally the algorithm was made in MATLAB using Gauss Newton method. All methods are compared and the results are presented.
