    The growth of polymer particles formed in catalytic polymerization of olefins on supported catalysts was traditionally described by e#ectivescale reaction-transport models with various degrees of space- and or timeaveraging of concentration and temperature fields in the complex porous structure of individual growing particles. This traditional averaging, i.e., e#ective-scale approach has been also applied to address the problems of particle overheating, consequences of mass transport limitations on thegrowth of particle and polymer properties.
