An Algorithm for Location of Logistic Objects in Integrated Supply Chains
Original language description
Influence of supply chains structure on distribution costs and customer services level. Main function of distribution chains. Formulation of criteria for optimization of chains structure. Transportation costs and inventory maintenance costs as main factors decisive on chains structure. Description of an original algorithm arising from the Weiszfeld algorithm operating with sequentially increasing number of warehouses that enables to correct adaptively allocation of customers to warehouses. Unknown location demands to apply a suitable two-dimensional metrics depending on built-up transport network. Implementation of GIS systems for location supplied places, advantages and disadvantages. Verification of the philosophy operation and developed algorithm ona real-world problem, comparison with other methods of multi-object location. Necessity to correct the results according to other criteria - services level, land charges, state of road infrastructure, and state of communication media.
