Simulation of Storage Silos at Powder Polymer Production
Original language description
Silos for product storage are important elements in every powder polymer production process. Determination and validation of their sufficient capacity is not possible to carry out by means of standard methods of mathematical modelling. One of possible ways of determination of silo storage capacity is creation of a model as a discrete event system, carrying out purposeful simulation experiments and consecutive analysis of silo system utilization. Medium-term simulation of the production gives sufficientinformation about if the insufficient capacity of the storage silos will manifest rarely or is typical for the current configuration of the production line. It enables to take expertly a decision on prospective investments that would increase the storagesilo capacity including determination of their optimum number.
