    Effects of convection on spatiotemporal solutions in a model of a cross-flow reactor

    Dynamics of moving waves and complex spatiotemporal patterns are analysed in a model of a cross-flow reactor. This reactor is operated continuously with reactants supplied through inlet stream as well as along the reactor through a semipermeable membrane. We assume an exothermic chemical reaction with kinetics of first order.This reaction-diffusion-convection system is described by two partial differential equations, in one spatial dimension and is solved numerically. Associated boundary conditions arethe Neumann conditions for the reaction-diffusion system and the Danckwerts conditions for the system with convective flow.

    Byla zkoumána dynamika pohybujících se vln a komplexních struktur v matematickém modelu reaktoru s křížovým tokem přes membránu a s exotermní reakcí. Tato reakčně-difuzně-konvektivní úloha je řešena souborem analytických i numerických postupů.
