Estimation of Fractal Dimension in Image Analysis
Original language description
This paper is focused on the possibilities of fractal geometry methods in digital image texture classification. It briefly introduces box counting method and it deals with its application to the real images of microscopic photos of the picea abies leavesstomata. The fractal dimension evaluation of given images is perceived as one of the possible criteria in the process of automatic assessment of stomata quality and health.

Czech description
Předkládaný článek je zaměřen na možnosti aplikace metod fraktální geometrie v procesu zpracování a klasifikace digitálního obrazu. Je zde stručně přestavena jednoduchá algoritmická metoda pro vyčíslení fraktální dimenze a dále je navržený algorimus aplikován na zpracování reálných mikroskopických snímků stomat smrku ztepilého. Fraktální dimenze je zde použita jako jedno z možných kritérií v procesu automatické klasifikace při posuzování kvality a zdraví stomat.
