Different Techniques for Modelling of Flow Field and Homogenization in Stirred Vessels
Original language description
The application of different simulation techniques to the prediction of flow field and the tracer distribution in stirred tank is investigated. The impeller motion is explicitly modelled using the Multiple Reference Frames technique (steady state simulation of impeller motion) or the Sliding Mesh model (unsteady state simulation) implemented in FLUENT code. The simulations were done in turbulent flow regime using Standard k-e turbulence model. All these techniques are compared to show if these computationally demanding methods can make noticeable improvements to homogenization predictions.

Porovnání metod pro modelování rychlostního pole v míchané nádobě
Czech description
Příspěvek porovnává průběhy homogenizace mísitelných kapaliny vypočtených metodou CFD. Byly sledovány dva různé přístupy pro modelování rotujícího mechanického míchadla: metoda mnohonásobné rotující soustavy (Multiple Reference Frames) a metoda klouzavésítě (Sliding Mesh).
