Paper deals with our experience of using computers for improvement of lectures and seminaries in a basic course of chemical engineering. The advantage and disadvantage of selected mathematical software for teaching of chemical engineers are summarized. Long-term experience with mathematical software Maple, MS Excel and Polymath for solution of chemical engineering problems are presented. Next the use using of Internet for education of students is described. Solved chemical engineering problems, workingtexts for lectures and interactive chemical engineering e-tables are available for students and teachers on the web. For selected physical properties of solids, liquids and gases, the teachers at our department created independent www pages. Each page ofe-tables contains entire set of useful data.

Czech description

Příspěvek obsahuje naše zkušenosti s využitím počítačů při přednáškách a cvičeních základního kurzu chemického inženýrství. Jsou popsány výhody a nevýhody vybraných matematických programů. Jsou popsány dlouholeté zkušenosti s používáním matematických programů Maple, MS Excel a Polymath při řešení chemicko-inženýrských problémů a dále je popsáno používání Internetu při výuce studentů. Studenti i učitelé mohou používat řešené vzorové příklady, pracovní texty přednášek a interaktivní chemicko-inženýrské tabulky. Učitelé Ústavu chemického inženýrství vytvořili nezávislé www stránky s vybranými fyzikálními vlastnostmi látek. Každá stránka obsahuje kompletní soubor potřebných dat.
