Laboratory station PCT 40 of Armfield provides a multi-functional system intended for teaching process measurement and control. In the operation of this teaching system students will acquaint themselves with the properties of various measurement controlsystems, the methods for obtaining information on particular control loop variables, the methods for transmitting such information to a computer and the methods of process control as well. The computer-controlled system allows studying the basic principles of measurement and control of various processes and can be easily re-configured to monitor the temperature, pressure, flow-rate or level within a process. The contribution gives the detailed technical description and characteristics of the multi-functional system, the overview of assignable laboratory tasks as well as experience gained in the use of the system in students' laboratory.

Czech description

Laboratorní stanice PCT 40 od firmy Armfield představuje multifunkční systém koncipovaný pro výuku provozního měření a řízení. Při práci s tímto systémem poznají studenti vlastnosti různých řízených systémů, způsoby získávání informací o jednotlivých veličinách regulačního obvodu, způsoby přenosu těchto informací do počítače a metody řízení procesu. Systém, který je řízen počítačem umožňuje výuku základních principů měření a řízení různých procesů a může být jednoduše rekonfigurován na sledování teploty, tlaku, průtoku nebo stavu hladiny. V příspěvku je uveden podrobný technický popis a charakteristika multifunkčního systému, přehled zadání laboratorních úloh a zkušenosti s využitím v posluchačské laboratoři.
