Vapour- and liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficients measured in distillation column. Comparison with data calculated from absorption correlations.
Original language description
Suitable replacement of an out-dated conception of HETP for the distillation description is utilization of so called rate-based models. Viability of these models is connected with reliable values of rate equations parameters. Usual approach of kLa and kVa transfer between absorption and distillation on the basis of present models is risky. It is necessary to start from the values of these parameters evaluated under the distillation conditions as well for to design both processes. Our laboratory deals with the study of individual phenomena taking place in distillation by analysis of their influence on concentration profiles. Parameters of rate equations can be evaluated by optimisation of their values on the basis of fitting the calculated profiles to the experimental ones. A method of simultaneous determination of volumetric mass transfer coefficients in both phases in distillation column was presented by Linek et al. (2005). The method consists of a fitting of the concentration profil

koeficienty přestupu hmoty v kapalině a páře v destilační koloně. Měření a porovnání s absorpčními daty.
Czech description
Jsou určovány koeficienty přestupu hmoty v kapalině a páře přímo za podmínek destilace z koncentračních profilů v obou fázích podél kolony.
