Original language name
Spectroscopic binding studies of novel fluorescent distamycin derivatives
Original language description
Novel distamycin-porphyrin conjugates were synthesized and their interaction with calf thymus DNA was studied. Minor groove binding of the distamycin part of the molecule was confirmed. The porphyrin part of the conjugates exhibited intercalation and thenon-specific electrostatic interaction with the phosphate groups of DNA.
Czech name
Spektroskopická studie nových fluorescenčních derivátů distamycinu
Czech description
Byly syntetizovány nové konjugáty distamycinu a porfyrinu a byla studována jejich interakce s DNA z telecího brzlíku. Bylo potvrzeno, že distamycinová část konjugátu se váže do malého žlábku DNA. Porfyrinová část vykazuje interkalaci a nespecifickou elektrostatickou interakci s fosfátovými skupinami DNA.
