We have synthesized monodispersed iron-oxide nanoparticles and further oleic acid-coated aqueous and kerosene based stable ferrofluid. We have investigated the heating properties of the iron-oxide nanoparticle suspensions under the alternating magnetic field with respect to their size and composition.
