Original language description
Drying is an important step in the preparation of supported metal catalysts. In this contribution, the influence of drying conditions on the final catalyst properties is investigated by experiments and mathematical modelling. The novel mathematical modelis based on the volume-of-fluid method for 3D simulation of drying and crystallization on pore scale. The model results are compared with experimentally prepared porous catalysts ? mesoporous silica MCM-41 with impregnated nickel.
