Original language description

The composition of hetero-phase polymers has essential influence on their properties, mainly on mechanical properties and on transport processes in the polymers. This contribution demonstrates the utilization of Time-domain NMR for estimating: (i) the crystallinity of polyethylene, (ii) the composition of two high-impact polymers and (iii) the composition of styrene-butadiene rubber emulsions. The results for polyethylene were in agreement with data from the sample supplier and DSC analysis and the results for high-impact polymers were in qualitative agreement with AFM measurements carried out in our laboratory.
