Original language description
Medium flow rate is one of the most often measured physical quantities. Rotameter is still efficient and used technique in industry - vertical tube with the floater, where the high of the floater represents actual value of flow rate. But rotameters are not constructed for the connection to digital controllers (no analog or digital ports). Using digital camera and on-line tracking of moving floater represents one possible way of signal digitalization.
