Original language description
Software for simulation of carbon monoxide oxidation in a digitally reconstructed porous catalyst. The model includes techniques for the digital reconstruction of a porous support based on images from scanning electron microscopy and subsequent simulation of the reaction and transport within the reconstructed structure. The model predicts reaction rate of CO oxidation and effectiveness factor in dependence on actual reaction conditions (temperature and inlet gas concentrations).
