Theoretical description of a motion of a spherical bubble in neigbourhood of a falling particle
Original language description
The collision process between a single rising bubble with mobile and immobile surface (Db{1 mm) and a larger falling solid spherical particle in stagnant liquid is studied in this project. The theoretical model is based on forces acting on the bubble andutilizes equation for the bubble motion. The bubble is considered spherical, and its motion is straight and rectilinear. The particle is spherical and moves vertically down with a steady velocity; the flow around the particle is axially symmetric. Basedon experimental and theoretical background, the influence of bubble surface mobility is studied. In pure water the full bubble surface mobility is expected, whereas, in the aqueous solution of surface active agent, the bubble surface is immobile.
