Partial Molar Isentropic Compressions and Partial Molar Volumes of Isomeric Butanediols at Infinite Dilution in Water at Temperatures T = (278 to 318) K and Atmospheric Pressure.
Original language description
Speed of sound and density data for dilute aqueous solutions of all four isomeric butanediols derived from n-butane (butane-1,2-diol, butane-1,3-diol, butane-1,4-diol, butane-2,3-diol) were obtained using the Anton Paar DSA 5000 vibrating-tube densimeterand sound analyzer in the temperature range from (278.15 to 318.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. Standard molar isentropic compressions and standard molar volumes were evaluated from the measured data. Relations between the two standard quantities andmolecular structures of the solutes are discussed.
