Original language description
The functional specimen represents laboratory apparatus allowing a characterization of a through-plane resistance of highly conductive flat samples. Materials suitable for the resistance characterization are usually metals, alloys, graphite and its composites with appropriate binders. The cell is designed to measure samples with a diameter of up to 53 mm and with a thickness of up to 10 mm and a measuring space of the cell is covered by glass cylinder. The resistance is determined from a voltage drop between sense electrodes while a constant electric current is passing through the sample between working electrodes. The cell allows measurement at defined pressure when it is placed on scales with a pressure screw or on a pneumatic press which allows reaching of higher pressures.
