    Lot of researches claim, that the Industry 4.0 is a future form of industrial development. But managers of Czech companies claim, that their processes are not prepared for this conception. This article is focused on designing of a lean workplace. It is a simpler way to implement one of basic ideas of Industry 4.0 conception. The goal of this workplace is not only to increase productivity but also to optimize material flows in enterprise and fulfill costumers´ demands. The aim of the article is to find the best design of two production lines in a specific enterprise. In the article are used methods of industrial engineering (layout optimization, workplace standardization, work studies). The desired production cycle was used in search of a suitable layout and production lines balancing. Also essential number of operators was considered. In order to find the best layout were time consumptions of all operations counted by two different methods and the results were compared.
