    3D modeling and virtual reality is a modern branch with many interdisciplinary applications. These approaches are commonly used in technical praxis (computer vision, autonomous robotic systems or navigation in space). The aim of this paper is an extension of 3D modeling and virtualization methods to biomedical and radiological applications. We created a MATLAB GUI application for preprocessing computed tomography (CT) data to be able to select a part of the human body that a user can be interested in. Then, a 3D model is created and exported into a STL file. After final conversion, it can be shown in virtual reality.
