Original language description
Bioavailability of orally administered drugs is often guided by an interplay between several factors, e.g. solubility, dissolution rate and permeability. For model compound abiraterone acetate, impact of number of excipients on its flux (and thus permeability) was accessed using MacroFlux device. This instrument allows simultaneous measurement of dissolution and absorption and therefore can help describe the factors limiting bioavailability of abiraterone acetate.
