Poly(neutral red) modified metal substrates for fingerprint visualization
Original language description
This work is focused on a simple method for fingerprint visualization on problematic metal substrates for criminology by the application of a non-traditional polymer prepared from neutral red using cyclic voltammetry (CV). Experiments have shown that, under optimal electrochemical conditions, a latent fingerprint on a Pt and brass substrates can be quickly made significantly more visible. Using poly(neutral red), which has not been yet studied in this area, it was even possible to observe details of the secondary (bifurcation) and tertiary (pores) levels of the fingerprint papillary lines using optical microscopy.
