Original language description
Power consumption is often one of the essential parameters for stirred tank reactor design. The ungassed power input prediction is necessary for effective industrial design. The ungassed power input depends on many variables such as tank geometry, used impeller type, and properties of the batch. This work focuses on the influence of the batch composition, impeller type, and impeller diameter on ungassed power consumption. Experiments were performed under a broad range of experimental conditions in laboratory and pilot plant scale vessels.
