Wavelet Use for EEG Signal Segmentation
Original language description
Wavelet transform is a modern tool for signal and image processing. It is used for decomposition, reconstruction, segmentation, denoising and prediction in many engineering and biomedical applications. The paper deals with fundamental differences the Wavelet Transform (WT) and the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT). The advantage of the WT is in a wide range of analysing functions and the variable resolution for each frequency component. The main part of the paper describes detection ################################################################################################################################################################################################################## of local peaks, which are greater than the given threshold, providing margins of segments. Signal segmentation detects change-points in a non-stationary signal and it divides it into its quasi-stationary seg
