  • Original language description

The paper introduces the software platform developed within the project Technical Intelligentsia in the Czech Lands and Czechoslovakia, 1707-1950. The system is designed to support historical research by providing tools for the collection, storage, and structured analysis of biographical and institutional data related to technical experts and their roles in education, research, and society. The platform consists of an editorial module for data entry and management, a database with a detailed microstructure of personal and institutional records, and visualisation tools including timelines, interactive maps, and network graphs. After more than three years of development, the editorial module is operational and used by researchers for entering and editing data, with implemented features for user management, controlled vocabularies, relationship mapping, data correction, and versioning. A prototype interactive map has also been completed, enabling the visualisation of institutional and spatial contexts. The project thus provides a working environment for historians and archivists to process and explore data on the development of the technical intelligentsia in the Czech Lands and Czechoslovakia.
