The workshop with Rosalind Crisp explored ways to guide someone's own dancing. Rosalind shared her tools for generating movement and processes for paying attention to how dance emerges from the materiality of one's own body – from the breath, weight, flesh, sensation, imagination, and felt or fictitious parts. Her method supported dancers to develop an embodied practice, guide themselves as independent creative agents, and embrace the challenge of working alone. The sessions included led and self-directed exploration of practical tasks, watching others dance, reflection, exchange, and discussion.
