Original language description
The study dedicated to two stagings of Romeo and Juliet, first one by Karel Hugo Hilar in 1924 in National theatre in Prague and the other staged by Viktor Šulc in 1932 in Slovak national theatre in Bratislava. The purpose of the paper is to compare both productions, to focus on similar and different artistic approaches in works of these two directors who were in common artistic dialogue.
