A study, in a monograph, of a distinctive scenographer of the late 20th century who worked in the style of “Action Design”. His most outstanding work is connected with the F.X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec and later with a number of Prague and regional theatres in the Czech Republic. He has worked for many foreign theatres. He was also a professor of stage design at DAMU, Prague, the Rector of the Academy of Arts and General Director of the Prague Quadrennial. The book deals with his stage designs and his painting.
