We, artists and art-researches are always pressured to produce innovative, critical (and carbon-neutral) work. In the workshops before an actual creation of the event “Y: Slow TV Cinema”, we aim to question existing patterns in art production, artists´ labour, precarity, exhaustion, success and art visibility. We aim to challenge the means of art production and spectatorial expectations by commissioning “slow” films from artists with minimal film/video background. All films will then be screened in 24-hours-long sleepover cinema built within the theatre space.
