The KRECon 2024 conference was organized by the National Technical Library in Prague (NTK) under the auspices of the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT). Its theme was Strategic Support for Science: Main Directions and Challenges. The aim of the conference was to clarify the basic issues of research support in the Czech environment and to critically reflect on the parameters of the debate on them, including their link to the evaluation of available data and the ability to define the state interest. The aim was therefore to open up and complement key perspectives on long-term research support and its strategic management.
