Přemysl Pitter, “Operation Castles” in the memories of witnesses in the Malach Centre for Visual History
Original language description
The following article discusses how the witnesses remember P. Pitter and “Operation Castles”, in which they participated in their childhood or as teenagers. The article also briefly describes Přemysl Pitter as a person and his activities, the most significant of which was “Operation Castles”. This information comprises the scope and historical context for the witnesses’ recollections. “Operation Castles” is described in a few studies[1], but they are not based on interviews with witnesses. Until now, no one has worked with records from the Malach Centre on this topic. This paper also examines the important and significant moments of the witnesses’ lives during their stay in the sanatoriums.
