Original language description
The role of the channel geometry and architecture of large pore zeolites FAU, BEA and MOR on the activity, selectivity and time-on-stream stability in trimethylbenzene transalkylation with toluene to xylenes was investigated. It has been found that the reaction mechanism is strongly controlled by the transport of starting trimethylbenzenes and tetramethylbenzenes formed during the reaction.
