Original language description
The interaction of Ag and Cu ions with ZSM-5 and FER was studied with the combined quantum mechanics/interatomic potential function technique. The structure and coordination of Ag and Cu ions, Cu(II) reduction, and photoluminescence spectra were investigated. The experimental data are analyzed in light of the results of computational study. A consistent interpretation at the atomic scale level is offered and the implications for the catalytic activity of these systems are discussed.
