    Kinetics of template removal was investigated using thermogravimetric measurement both in the flow of nitrogen and air. Apart from linear temperature programs, quasiisothermal conditions were used. A simple kinetic model was formulated which involves theeffect of mobilization reaction rate of mass transfer from crystals into intracrystalline space, intercrystalline diffusion and the rate of mass transfer from the layer of crystals into the main stream of template removing agent. The model appreciates all the principal features of template removal process including the effect of the percolation threshold.
