Formation of lanthanide(III) texaphyrin complexes with DNA controlled by the size of the central metal cation

  • Original language description

Interaction of lanthanide(III) texaphyrins (LnTEX) with calf thymus DNA was studied by UV?Vis, CD, resonance light scattering spectroscopy and by laser flash photolysis. The thermal stability of the LnTEX/DNA complexes decreases with the increasing lanthanide ion radius: LuTEX > DyTEX > GdTEX > EuTEX > CeTEX greater-or-equal, slanted LaTEX. Texaphyrins LaTEX, LuTEX and GdTEX produce O2(.sup1.DELTA.g) in methanol solutions. In a phosphate buffer, the concentration of O2(1.DELTA.g) produced by these texaphyrins bound to DNA is affected by the formation of aggregates on the DNA backbone.

Tvorba komplexů texapyrinů lanthanoidů s DNA řízená velikostí centrálního atomu kovu

  • Czech description

Interakce texapyrinů lanthanoidů (LnTEX) s DNA byla studována metodami UV/Vis, CD a RLS spektroskopie a laserovou zábleskovou fotolýzou. Termální stabilita komplexů LnTEX/DNA klesá se stoupajícím iontovým poloměrem lanthanoidového iontu: LuTEX > DyTEX >GdTEX > EuTEX > CeTEX > LaTEX. Texapyriny LaTEX, LuTEX a GdTEX produkují v metanolickém roztoku singletní kyslík O2(1.DELTA.g). Ve fosfátovém pufru je koncentrace O2(1.DELTA.g), produkovaná texapyriny vázanými na DNA, ovlivněna agregací na fosfátové kostře DNA.
