Synthesis of organized mesoporous alumina templated with ionic liquids
Original language description
Organized mesoporous alumina was synthesized using 1-methyl-3-octylimidazolium chloride as a structure-directing agent. The synthesis was carried out with aluminum chlorohydrate as a source of aluminum in an aqueous medium. The surface areas of resultingmaterials are in the range of 260-270 m2/g and pore sizes exhibit a narrow pore distribution centered at 3.8-3.9 nm. Crystalline character of the pore walls of organized mesoporous aluminas formed by .gamma.-alumina was proved.
