    Voltammetric Determination of Nitrophenols at a Silver Solid Amalgam Electrode

    The voltammetric behavior of 2-nitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol and 2,4-dinitrophenol was investigated by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at a mercury meniscus-modified silver solid amalgam electrode (m-AgSAE) and liquid mercury free polished silver solidamalgam electrode (p-AgSAE). Conditions have been found for their determination by DPV at m-AgSAE and p-AgSAE in Britton-Robinson buffer in the concentration range from 2 to 100 .micro.mol.L-1. The applicability of these methods in combination with solid phase extraction (SPE) for determination 2-nitrophenol in drinking water with limit of determination around 20 nmol.L-1 was verified.

    Voltametrické chování 2-nitrofenolu, 4-nitrofenolu a 2,4-dinitrofenolu bylo zkoumáno pomocí diferenční pulzní voltametrie (DPV) na rtuťové meniskem modifikované stříbrné pevné amalgámové elektrodě (m-AgSAE) a leštěné stříbrné pevné amalgámové elektrodě,neobsahující kapalnou rtuť (p-AgSAE). Byly nalezeny podmínky pro jejich stanovení pomocí DPV na m-AgSAE a p-AgSAE v Brittonově-Robinsonově pufru v koncentračních řádech od 2 do 100 .micro.mol.L-1. Aplikovatelnost těchto metod v kombinaci s extrakcí tuhoufází (SPE) byla verifikována na stanovení 2-nitrofenol v pitné vodě s mezí stanovitelnosti okolo 20 nmol.L-1.
