Fourier transform infrared emission spectra of atomic rubidium: g- and h-states
Original language description
Time-resolved Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy has been used to observe the rubidium atomic emission spectrum in a vacuum (102 Torr). We observe 31 Rb I lines in the 800?8000 cm1 range with a resolution of 0.02 cm1, including 21 previously unmeasured lines. From the measured spectra, we identify the energy values of the previously unknown 6g, 6h, 7g and 7h levels of Rb I. The oscillator strengths of the observed transitions are calculated using quantum defect theory.
