Cyclic analogs of insect oostatic peptides: synthesis, biological activity, and NMR study.

  • Original language description

Cyclization of the N-terminal tetra- and pentapeptide analogues of the oostatic factor H-Tyr-Asp-Pro-Ala-Pro 6 -OH decreases the oostatic effect on the flesh fly Neobellieria bullata by one order of magnitude. NMR study revealed that the space structureof the cyclic peptides is too restricted to adopt a biological conformation necessary for receptor binding.
