Degradation of trinitrobenzene, 4-amino-2,6-dinitrotoluene and diaminonitrotoluenes by plant cultures.
Original language description
Degradation of TNT was studied in the suspension culture of Saponaria officinalis obtained from plants growing on TNT contaminated soil. TNT was removed from the cultivation medium in a few hours and degradation products such as trinitrobenzene (TNB), aminodinitrotoluenes (ADNT) and diaminonitrotoluenes (DANT) appeared. In the next step the degradation of these products was studied.
