Synthesis and properties of novel types of chiral open-ring acyclic nucleoside phosphonates

  • Original language description

A new type of acyclic nucleoside phosphonates (ANP) is derived from 2,4-diamino-6-hydroxypyrimidine. These 6-[2-(phosphonomethoxy)ethoxy]pyrimidine derivatives significantly inhibit replication of retroviruses and herpesviruses in cell cultures. This novel subclass of pyrimidine ANPs can be considered as analogues of 2,6-diaminopurine with an open imidazole ring in the purine moiety.

Syntéza a vlastnosti chirálních acyklických nukleosid fosfonátů s otevřeným kruhem

  • Czech description

Nový typ acyklických nukleosid fosfonátů (ANP) je odvozen od 2,4-diamino-6-hydroxypyrimidinu. Tyto deriváty 6-[2-(fosfonomethoxy)ethoxy]pyrimidinu inhibují replikaci retrovirů a herpesvirů in vitro. Tyto látky jsou považovány za analogy 2,6-diaminopurinus otevřeným imidazolovým jádrem.
