    Epoxide migration and pseudo-epoxide migration of 1,6:2,3-and 1,6:3,4-dianhydro-beta-D-hexopyranoses. Synthesis of some deoxy halo derivatives of 1,6-anhydro-beta-D-hexopyranoses

    Epoxide or pseudo-epoxide migration of 1,6:2,3-dianhydro- and 1,6:3,4-dianhydro-b-D-hexopyranoses was effected by treatment with aqueous sodium hydroxide or sodium iodide in acetone to give equilibrium mixtures. Various iodo derivatives of 1,6-anhydro-b-D-hexopyranoses were prepared as potential intermediates for pseudo-epoxide migration. NMR was used for following the reaction mechanism of epoxide and pseudo-epoxide migrations and analysis of reaction mixtures. Experimental data were compared with DFTcalculations. Chair-boat equilibration of 1,6-anhydro-3-deoxy-3-halo-b-D-glucopyranoses was discussed.

    Migrace a pseudomigrace epoxidů 1,6:2,3- a 1,6:3,4-dianhydro-b-D-hexopyranos vodným hydroxidem sodným resp. jodidem sodným v acetonu poskytla rovnovážné směsi. Byly připraveny různé jodované deriváty 1,6-anhydro-b-D-hexopyranosy jako potenciální meziprodukty pseudo migrace epoxidů. Sledování reakčních mechanismů těchto migrací a analýza reakčních směsí byla provedena pomocí NMR spektroskopie. Experimentální data byla porovnána s DFT výpočty. Byla diskutována rovnováha mezi židličkovou a vaničkovou konformací 1,6-anhydro-3-deoxy-3-halogen-b-D-glukopyranosy.
