Novel racemic carbocyclic nucleoside analogues of 6-chloropurine, adenine, and 6-(cyclopropylamino)purine derived from 5- or 6-(hydroxymethyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-en-2-ol and analogues of 6-chloropurine derived from 5- or 6-(chloromethyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-en-2-ol were synthesized.
