  • Original language description

    Concurrent cationic and radical polymerization of isobutylene in presence of LiCB11Me12 anion is described. Mechanistic explanation of polymerization is discused on the base of influnce of lithium salt of permethylated icosahedral anion CB11Me12-. A closer investigation confirmed that, in the presence of LiCB11Me12 in weakly coordinating solvents radical polymerization of isobutylene takes place.
