3 alpha 5 beta-Pregnanolone glutamate, a use-dependent NMDA antagonist, reversed spatial learning deficit in an animal model of schizophrenia
Original language description
We have developed novel neuroactive steroid pregnanolone glutamate (3alpfa5beta-P-Glu). 3alpha5beta-P-Glu acts as a use-dependent NMDA receptor antagonist. 3alpha5beta-P-Glu reversed spatial learning deficit in an animal model of schizophrenia. 3alpha5beta-P-Glu did not influence spatial learning of intact animals. 3alpha5beta-P-Glu may represent procognitive drug without side effects
